Property Options' Offices in Marbella

Property Options is a Real Estate company based in Marbella on the Costa del Sol.

Whilst being a young company, established in January 2003, it has a wealth of knowledge within its workforce not only of the Costa del Sol but many years of sales experience, especially within the very competitive world of timeshare.

The two directors / shareholders of the company are Mr Ken Spencer and Mr Gerry O'Loughlin.

Ken Spencer has over 20 years of hugely successful sales experience with major companies such as Xerox and Sharp electronics, more recently moving into the timeshare industry and having a very impressive track record with a large Norwegian company "Anfi Del Mar" in Gran Canaria before moving to the Costa del Sol in February 2001 to work for Marriott at the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort. At Marriott, Ken Spencer was always regarded as one of the top salespeople in Europe, achieving numerous awards during his brief two years with the company.

Gerry O'Loughlin FRICS FSCS. Gerry qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor in 1974 and brings with him a wealth of experience within the construction industry. Gerry worked in private practice for 10 years and during this period embarked on a number of projects, the most notable of which were the Bank of Ireland Headquarters in Dublin and Lansdowne Road, the Irish Rugby Football Union Stadium.

He joined Limerick College of Art, Commerce and Technology in the mid eighties and lectured on the Quantity Surveying course at the college. During this period he developed the BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management. He was promoted to head of the Department of the Built Environment in 1996.

Marbella, Costa del Sol

He represented the Society of Chartered Surveyors on the CEEC committee and conducted a number of research projects in European Methods of Measurements, skills shortages in the construction industry and managerial programmes for airport managers.

He progressed into consultancy services in early 2000 and now works for a number of Quantity Surveying Practices and Building Contractors both in Ireland, USA and the UK with Bovis Lendlease being one of his many clients.

Gerry is a keen sportsman and played provincial rugby for Munster. He was Chairman of Shannon Rugby Football Club, the premier rugby club in Ireland, and the First Division Rugby Clubs Association for a number of years and now actively participates at committee level in the Munster Branch of the Irish Rugby Football Union.

It was whilst working at Marriotts that Ken Spencer was introduced to Gerry O'Loughlin, who is an owner of timeshare with Marriotts and very quickly were to become friends and subsequently made the decision to form the company Property Options, to provide property and investment opportunities for their large client base.

Since its formation, Property Options has maintained a steady growth, now employing seven people, plus the two directors.
